The Alliance of Edwardsville
& Glen Carbon is a not-for-profit organization
that receives the majority of its funding support
from the public sector. The City of Edwardsville,
Village of Glen Carbon, and Edwardsville Township
are the principal investors in The Alliance, providing
nearly 70% of the annual operating budget. Additionally,
the Alliance relies upon the business community to
provide funding support through annual contributions.
Funding from the private sector accounts for nearly
30% of our total budget resources.
Our private sector investors
includes banks and financial institutions, realtors
and developers, utility providers, contractors and
building suppliers, as well as professional businesses.
With the funding support we receive from our local
business community and public sector investors, we
have been able to sustain a viable economic development
program.
